This heroic priest was murdered at the rectory of the Cathedral in 1921 by an enraged minister following the marriage of his daughter to a dark-skinned Puerto Rican man. Father Coyle had presided over the marriage just two hours prior to the fatal shooting. The Memorial Mass will be broadcast live on EWTN.
